Glycine is an amino acid that can be produced in the body and obtained through protein-rich foods such as meat, fish and dairy. It is essential for creating protein, transmitting signals to the brain while also a building block for collagen production, making up around 33% of the collagen in the body.
Studies have shown that Glycine help to improve mood, memory and sleep. Taking it before bedtime improve sleep quality and reduce daytime drowsiness. Furthermore, Glycine has also been shown to improve mood by acting as a relaxing neurotransmitter in our brain, thus increasing serotonin and energy levels while reducing anxiety.
